About the job Class A Heavy Equipment Driver Our client is looking for a CDL-A Driver with experience hauling heavy equipment.This is a stable, long-term opportunity with consistent work tied directly to ongoing construction operations.Position OverviewThis is a local CDL-A position focused on transporting construction equipment.Drivers are responsible for safely hauling equipment using flatbeds, lowboys, and drop-deck trailers. The role requires hands-on involvement in load securement, equipment inspections, and maintaining compliance with DOT and company safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesTransport heavy construction equipment to and from jobsites and customer locationsCheck accuracy and stability of loads prior to transportLoad, secure, and unload equipment safelyMaintain required driving and delivery recordsDeliver equipment and collect documentation or payment as requiredPick up company equipment and property from jobsitesInspect vehicles and equipment for roadworthiness and jobsite readinessPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsEnsure vehicles and equipment are maintained according to maintenance schedulesMaintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policiesKeep vehicles, tools, and assigned work areas clean and organizedRequired QualificationsValid Class A CDLDriving record that meets company MVR and insurance guidelinesMinimum 3 years of commercial driving experience preferredExperience with local delivery preferredKnowledge of DOT regulationsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred ExperienceExperience hauling heavy construction equipmentExperience in a construction or equipment rental environmentExperience with manual transmission trucksExperience with flatbed, drop-deck, lowboy, or RGN trailersAdditional NotesHAZMAT certification is preferred but not requiredHigh school diploma or GED preferredEqual Opportunity Employer (EOE / Vets / Disabilities)What This Role OffersConsistent, year-round workloadWell-maintained fleetLong-term opportunity with a stable construction operation
