VA POSITION SUMMMARY: The QA/QC Commissioning Associate assists in quality control and quality assurance of data center critical systems preparing for the commissioning process. The QA/QC Commissioning Associate assists the QA/QC Engineer to ensure that the correct equipment has been purchased and that installation is in accordance with industry standards and equipment specifications. This role will develop skills and industry knowledge to perform increasingly more complex commissioning tasks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Develop QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documentsFollow all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processesReview the quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and maintain a quality of materialsSupport the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processesAssist employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality manuals and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systemsManage to lift all types of equipment and handle the efficient storage of all hazardous materials and perform quality audits as per the required scheduleUnderstand all products and non-conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure the maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performanceMonitor an efficient system and record for all project activities and analyze all processes to ensure all work according to quality requirementsUnderstand all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all processesSupport and follow a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the projectLiaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to ConsultantDevelop and maintain inspection reportsEnsure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specificationsMaintain calibration of quality testing equipmentPerform inspections across all stages of productionAdvising on procedures to improve production efficiencyPrepare and maintain test data for reviewEvaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standardsIdentify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordinglyCommunicate quality or compliance concerns with urgencyMust be willing to travel up to 75% within a 100-mile radius of NOVAMust be US citizenQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education/Experience (Desired):Technical Military MOS, trade school and/or degreeExperience and/or education and internship in complex facilities or mission critical projects is preferredAny civilian or military technical certifications is a plusExperience with writing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs)Solid understanding of test equipment & softwareMinimum of 0-1 years of inspection and/or production experienceStrong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportionsDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information Computer Skills: Advanced Excel skills preferredExperience using Microsoft Office Suite, Word and Microsoft ProjectBasic knowledge of systems design for various projects Certificates and Licenses:No certificates or licenses required Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities for this position.
