Job Description Medical TechnicianLocation: Englewood, FLPosition Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Full-time • Nights (Rotating Weekends)Compensation: $20 - $30/ HourJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Technician to perform accurate and timely laboratory testing. This role involves working with various lab disciplines, ensuring compliance with protocols, and supporting patient care through high-quality diagnostic results.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform accurate and timely laboratory testing, including proficiency testing samples within required timelinesExecute stat testing procedures within established turnaround timesMaintain accurate documentation and patient recordsInterpret and correlate patient results using critical thinking and independent judgment (including delta checks)Review pending and result logs, resolving outstanding work or communicating with team membersPerform quality control procedures and manage critical or problematic test resultsAssume department responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor when requiredRequirementsAssociate Degree in Medical Technology or related field (required)Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology (preferred)Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technician (preferred)Active Florida State Technologist License (required)Certification in one or more clinical areas (Generalist preferred):Blood BankSerologyChemistryHematologyMicrobiologyCompany DescriptionLanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
