Payroll Manager
Our client, a leading global wealth management firm, is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to oversee multi-country payroll operations and lead a high-performing payroll function. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and hands-on payroll leader who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments and has experience managing payroll operations within growing organizations, including M&A activity. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in payroll compliance, Workday HRIS, vendor management, and operational leadership while partnering cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Compliance, and executive stakeholders.Location: Hybrid (3-4 days/week onsite) Hours: Full-TimeCompensation: ~130-140k Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee global payroll operations across multiple regions including the US, Canada, Caribbean, and Hong KongManage and mentor a team of payroll professionals while overseeing outsourced payroll vendorsEnsure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for salaried and hourly employeesSupervise semi-monthly payroll operations within Workday and ADPServe as the payroll lead for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including onboarding and offboarding payroll operationsPartner with HR, Finance, Compliance, and external auditors to support payroll audits and regulatory requirementsOversee year-end payroll activities including tax documentation, reconciliations, and compliance reportingSupport payroll accounting activities and partner with Finance to reconcile payroll accounts to the general ledgerDrive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies across payroll deliveryProvide subject matter expertise on payroll legislation, tax regulations, and compliance mattersManage escalated payroll issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex mattersEnsure compliance with employment laws, payroll regulations, and global data privacy standardsIdeal Background:8+ years of progressive payroll and operations experience within mid-size or large organizationsStrong experience managing end-to-end US payroll operations across multiple statesExperience supporting Canadian payroll operations and international payroll oversight preferredDeep expertise with Workday HRIS and ADP payroll systemsStrong understanding of payroll tax, compliance, audits, and employment legislationProven experience leading teams and managing vendor relationshipsExperience supporting payroll functions during mergers and acquisitions preferredStrong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skillsAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environmentBenefits:Competitive compensation and bonus opportunityComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement savings planHybrid work environmentOpportunity to lead global payroll operations within a growing organizationCollaborative and high-impact leadership role within a dynamic team
