Summary:
This person is responsible for building a network of food processors who engage the company's services to manage the green removal of byproducts. These byproducts provide the company with a reliable supply of products that are processed into animal nutrition.
The role you will play:
Be responsible for all aspects of the sales and service function for byproduct acquisition.
Identify the appropriate food processors within 300 miles of the company
This position will be focused on companies located in their "Eastern Territory"
Contact and visit prospective food processors to learn about their byproducts
Work with management to see if potential partner's byproducts fit the necessary criteria
Coordinate the testing and viable nature of their byproduct if necessary
Negotiate service contracts with those appropriate companies
Using a CRM, build strong relationships with current food processors while continuing to identify new resources.
Ensure proper documentation and reports are prepared and delivered.
Coordinate efforts with other departments to ensure resources are available to meet increasing demand
Ensure all logistics are serviced as outlined in their contractual agreements.
Provide reports to the President and executive team regarding progress and opportunities
Background Profile:
Minimum of 8 years of experience selling B2B services to manufacturers
Desire to provide 'Green Initiative' solutions to food processing companies.
Unique combination of purchasing and sales experience ideal
Knowledge of the food processing industry is preferred.
Knowledge of byproducts is ideal.
Adept in contract negotiations
Track record of success in increasing service-related sales & service contracts
Excellent customer relations skills and ability to proactively resolve issues
A solid understanding of FSMA protocols and how they apply is a plus
Ability to travel the territory within a 300-mile radius of SE PA
Demonstrated ability to use CRM-related programs effectively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
