At Bentley's Pet Stuff, you'll enjoy a clean, well-stocked environment with flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the backing of a company that genuinely values its grooming professionals. *What Sets Us Apart* * High commission structure: Earn up to 45% commission * Flexible hours: Full-time and part-time schedules available * Corporate stability with a personal, team-oriented environment * Paid onboarding to help you start strong * Free shear sharpening every 8 weeks *Sign-On Bonus* * *$500 sign-on bonus available* * $250 paid after 60 days of employment * $250 paid after 90 days of employment * Employee must be in good standing with no disciplinary action to qualify *Pay & Benefits* * Hourly Wage: $18.00 per hour * Commission Potential: Up to 50% * Tips *Full-Time Benefits (30+ hours/week):* * 401(k) * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Paid time off (PTO) * Employee discount on retail and grooming services *Duties and Responsibilities* * Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, clipping, brushing, and breed-standard or client-specific cuts. * Prioritize pet safety and well-being throughout the grooming process * Build strong, positive relationships with pet parents * Recommend appropriate products to enhance the pet's care and appearance * Maintain grooming area cleanliness, organization, and sanitation * Use store scheduling and POS systems as needed * Attend meetings and trainings * Work collaboratively with the store and grooming team * Perform other duties and projects as assigned *Qualifications* * Minimum 2 years of hands-on professional dog grooming experience required * High school diploma or GED required * Formal grooming education or certification preferred * Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Comfortable using grooming tools, scheduling software, and basic computer programs *Work Environment & Physical Requirements* * Active grooming environment with tubs, dryers, tables, and equipment * Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 45 pounds * May require occasional travel to other locations, meetings, or events * Variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Must be comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Vision insurance Experience: * Dog grooming: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
