Hardware Engineer – Autonomous SystemsWe are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to support the integration and testing of autonomous aerial systems.This is a hands-on role spanning hardware, embedded software, networking and field operations.You’ll configure Linux systems, deploy software, troubleshoot hardware and networks, and develop tools to support integration and testing.ResponsibilitiesLead hardware and software integration of unmanned aerial systems through to flight testing.Configure and deploy embedded Linux and containerised software environments.Troubleshoot vehicle networks, sensors, payloads and onboard computing systems.Develop C++, Python and/or Shell scripts for testing, automation and data analysis.Build and modify wiring harnesses and carry out soldering and electrical diagnostics.Configure networks across flight controllers, onboard computers, radios and ground stations.Work closely with software, hardware and controls teams to resolve integration challenges.Requirements5+ years' experience in robotics integration, flight testing, embedded systems, autonomous vehicles or a related field.Strong Linux, networking and Docker skills.Hands-on electronics, wiring, soldering and diagnostic experience.Proficiency in C++.Experience with protocols such as UART, CAN, Ethernet, SPI and I2C.Ability to independently lead integration activities across multidisciplinary teams.Experience with autonomous or aerial systems is highly desirable.DesirableMAVLink and PX4 or ArduPilot experience.Tactical mesh radio experience.FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and R/C flight experience.AdditionalMust be a U.S. Citizen.Full relocation available.
