Lead Instructor – Mathnasium (Steiner Ranch)
We are hiring a Lead Instructor in Steiner Ranch who is passionate, friendly, and enthusiastic about helping kids succeed. This Lead Instructor role is a key leadership opportunity for experienced instructors, teachers, and math educators who want to grow into center leadership while continuing to work directly with students.
No prior management experience is required — we provide training and leadership development.
Quick Role Summary
As a Lead Instructor, you will oversee instructional quality during center hours, manage classroom operations, and coach a team of instructors. The Lead Instructor serves as Manager on Duty and assumes Center Director responsibilities when needed, helping ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for students and families.
This role is ideal for high-performing math instructors, teachers, and future education leaders.

What You Will Do
Lead instructional operations as Lead Instructor during center hours
Manage classroom flow, student assignments, and instructor ratios
Coach, train, and support a team of instructors and teachers
Ensure all instruction follows the Mathnasium Method
Act as Manager on Duty (opening and closing required)
Conduct center tours and consultative enrollment conversations
Schedule student assessments and support enrollments
Partner with the Center Director on student progress and staffing
Provide instructor performance feedback to leadership
Participate in local marketing and community events
Assume Center Director responsibilities in the Director’s absence

Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong math knowledge through 12th grade
Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff
Ability to assess needs, provide solutions, and overcome objections
Strong judgment in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to train and delegate
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs
High School diploma or GED required; some college preferred
Schedule & Availability
This is a part-time Lead Instructor position.
Typical schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
20–25 hours per week, based on center needs
Long-term availability is strongly preferred.
