Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy

Primary Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm; Secondary Shifts: 1:00pm-9:30pm & 2:30pm-11:00pmGeneral SummaryEach Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacists in the various functions of the Department, including dispensing and order filling responsibilities, compounding both sterile and non-sterile medications, inventory controls, and prepackaging.QualificationsEducation/Skills Required: High School Diploma is required. Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy techniciancertification program is required Registration with the New York Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician is required Hospital pharmacy or community pharmacy experience preferred but not required.As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
