Superintendent for Ground-up Commercial Construction in the Houston TXScott Humphrey has partnered with a respected and growing Commercial General Contractor in the Dallas is seeking a Commercial Superintendent to oversee Large commercial ground-up construction projects across the region (Houston). This firms values strong communication, leadership presence, and the ability to maintain calm, collaborative jobsite environments above all else.About the RoleThe Superintendent will be responsible for day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. This position requires an effective communicator who can manage subcontractors, interact professionally with hospital staff, and represent the GC with poise and confidence.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on commercial construction projects.Proven experience delivering commercial projects such as hospitals and healthcare facilities, K–12 and higher education, churches, municipal buildings, fire stations, and office buildings or tenant spaces.Experience on both ground-up construction and renovation projects is strongly preferred.Strong communication skills with a calm, professional, and solutions-oriented demeanor.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, and medical or facility staff.Proficiency with construction technology, including Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software.About Scott-HumphreyWe are a national recruitment practice specializing in Construction, Real Estate, Legal, Pharma/Med Device, Digital Marketing, Creative, & Shared Services recruitment.
