Web Developer
Overview
Client First Technologies currently is seeking a Web / Content Management System (CMS) Developer who will maintain our customer’s websites and content, principally using Drupal, WordPress, and TeamSite.
This is a full-time, remote position that must be able to support East Coast business hours.

Responsibilities
Develop new websites or repurpose existing websites as requested by the content managers, including the collection of requirements, development of mockups and prototypes, design and coding (open source and reuse), technical, Section 508 accessibility, usability testing and implementation
Develop and/or update website internet/intranet templates, including TeamSite, WordPress, or Drupal presentation templates and forms (utilizing TeamSite, WordPress, Drupal, and other technologies are needed)
Create new TeamSite, WordPress, and Drupal forms/templates that allow a common presentation across multiple sites for brand consistency
Implement responsive designs using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and HTML
Prepare supporting documentation and tutorials for any new or updated templates, custom applications, and/or TeamSite, WordPress, or Drupal forms
Provide ad-hoc bug fix support and minor custom coding using ASP, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, GraphQL, NextJS, Metalsmith & Liquid Templates, React, Ruby, Bricks, and/or other similar technologies as needed
Integrate social media technologies and APIs, web services and datasets into new and/or existing websites as requested by content managers
Participate in discussions with content managers regarding requirements for new websites / applications and/or modifications to existing sites / applications
Sustain web-based reporting tools to support oversight responsibilities
Provide intake and triage support for trouble issues / tickets reported through multiple ticketing / customer management portals as they pertain to end user reported issues for websites (examples of these tasks include but are not limited to the following: assistance with the creation of new user administrative accounts, accessibility fixes, troubleshooting file/video uploads, and limited one-on-one end user support)
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in web development and content management systems
Demonstrated experience with and deep knowledge of Drupal, WordPress, and TeamSite
Experience with web development technologies (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
Ability to learn and use additional technologies as needed for special projects
Familiar with accessibility and Section 508 requirements/compliance
Demonstrated experience implementing responsive designs
Familiarity with Agile methods and practices and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, Jira, and common business tools
Familiarity with issue tracking tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
Preferred: Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
Occasional travel and overtime may be required
Required Clearances and Screenings
This position is subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility for a position designated with Moderate Risk sensitivity. Candidates with current Veterans Affairs (VA) Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation or equivalent (e.g., DoD Tier 3/NACLC, Active Secret) are preferred.
