Per Diem Retail Pharmacist | Mesa, Arizona

Job Description This opportunity seeks licensed pharmacists to support retail pharmacy operations within a large regional food and pharmacy chain operating multiple locations in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. The client's goal is to build a reliable per diem team of 2-3 pharmacists to provide flexible coverage for call outs, vacations, and volume spikes during busy periods such as summer vacation and holidays.Location:Mesa, AZ and surrounding Phoenix metropolitan area locationsMost stores are commutable; some require travel with mileage reimbursement and possible hotel accommodationsSchedule:Per diem role with shifts primarily Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some pharmacies closing at 8 p.m.Hours are not guaranteed; ideal candidates can commit 2-4 days per weekResponsibilities:Provide full retail pharmacy support, including dispensing prescriptions and customer consultationsCover shifts as needed across multiple locations, including smaller pharmacist-only pharmaciesEngage in training sessions to become familiar with client-specific QS1 pharmacy software and operational protocolsMaintain compliance with immunization privileges and BLS standardsQualifications and Desired Experience:Active pharmacy license in Arizona with no restrictionsMinimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience preferred, with 5+ years desired for higher compensationImmunization certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) card requiredExperience working with QS1 pharmacy system is a plusAbility to work independently and adapt to a dynamic, multi-site environmentPerks and Benefits:Training provided to ensure smooth integration into client processes, including one paid 8-hour training shift (additional training available)Mileage reimbursement for commutes over 30 milesMeal stipend during shiftsHotel and travel expenses covered for assignments exceeding 75 milesThis per diem opportunity provides a flexible scheduling model ideal for pharmacists seeking extra shifts or part-time work in a supportive, fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.
