Registered Nurse II (RN), MedSurg/Tele - One UMMS Staffing Center

Clinical Nurse IIWe are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to provide high-quality nursing care in MedSurg and Telemetry settings. The ideal candidate will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure safety and comfort for all patients.Requirements:Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of practiceExperience in MedSurg and/or Telemetry nursingAbility to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient careStrong clinical and critical thinking skillsProficient in monitoring cardiac telemetry and recognizing arrhythmiasKnowledge of medication administration and patient safety protocolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamFlexibility to work PRN shifts as neededBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationAbility to document patient care accurately and timelyCommitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacyPhysical ability to perform nursing duties, including lifting and moving patientsFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) systemsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to respond effectively in emergency situationsWillingness to participate in ongoing professional developmentAdherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirementsCompassionate and patient-focused approachAbility to educate patients and families about care plans and health maintenanceEducation & Experience:Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or a Nurse Compact License (NSL)BSN preferred.Two years of recent (within the past 12 months) relevant clinical hospital nursing experience in a comparable setting (See attached Professional Self-assessment skills checklist).Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education every two years.Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) PreferredCompensation:Pay: $55 flat rate
