Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely, accurate processing of vendor payments while maintaining strong internal controls and positive vendor relationships. Key responsibilities include: Processing a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently across multiple entities Reviewing invoices for proper documentation, coding, and approvals prior to payment Performing 3-way matching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner Investigating and resolving invoice and payment issues, identifying root causes when needed Maintaining vendor records, including verification of tax documentation and payment details Reconciling vendor statements and assisting with month-end close activities Supporting audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries Documenting procedures and contributing to process improvements and AP automation initiatives Building and maintaining professional relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders Assisting with other duties as assigned Education and experience: High School Diploma required 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls Experience with 3-way PO matching strongly preferred Experience working in multiple ERP systems or with AP automation tools is a plus Skills and competencies: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Strong problem-solving skills Customer-service mindset with the ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams What we offer: Opportunity to grow within a global manufacturing organization A collaborative, improvement-focused culture that values initiative Competitive compensation and benefits Exposure to multi-entity operations and systems
