Job Description Software EngineerChange the world. Love your job.Texas Instruments is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Analog Power Products organization in Dallas. In this role, you will develop embedded firmware and software solutions that enable TI's analog and mixed-signal ICs to reach their full potential in customer applications.As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with hardware design teams to develop, validate, and deliver software that powers TI's products and reference designs across automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.Responsibilities IncludeDesign, develop, and debug embedded firmware for TI microcontrollers and processors supporting analog power product ecosystemsDevelop Software Development Kits (SDKs), drivers, and application examples for TI analog and mixed-signal productsCollaborate with hardware engineers to define software interfaces and validate embedded systemsWrite and execute test plans for software validation across hardware platformsContribute to software architecture discussions and design reviewsCreate and maintain technical documentation including API references, user guides, and design notesParticipate in code reviews and apply best practices for software quality and maintainabilityQualificationsMinimum requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field1+ years of experience in embedded software developmentProficiency in C and C++Preferred QualificationsExperience developing firmware for microcontrollers, preferably ARM Cortex-M based devicesFamiliarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software architecturesExperience with hardware communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, and CANKnowledge of software development tools including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and static analysis toolsScripting experience in Python or Bash for automation and toolingFamiliarity with power conversion or analog mixed-signal applicationsStrong debugging skills including use of JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopesAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teams spanning hardware, systems, and applications engineeringStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbout UsWhy TI?Engineer your future.
