Delivery Driver (Non-CDL)Job Summary: The Local Delivery Driver increases customer and employee satisfaction by delivering material to job sites and customers as efficiently and safely as possible. Drivers must exhibit the highest level of customer service and pride in maintaining the CMC reputation. Drivers must ensure that assigned truck is kept in the best working order possible and assist in monitoring it for service and maintenance needs.General Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare trucks and tools for departure prior to each runPerform pre-trip inspection, which includes (but not limited to) properly included material and proper loading to avoid damage and meet DOT regulationsReload any incorrect items or items that were loaded improperlyTravel to customer site as assigned, while properly following all DOT and CMC Fleet policy regulationsAfter arrival at customer location, unload material included in customer order, delivering to location as designated by the customerVerify all items are present and undamaged before obtaining customer signature for proof of deliveryFollow directions on paperwork to collect payment as requiredMaintain mileage logs as requiredPerform post trip truck inspectionProperly report needs, concerns or any customer requests to supervisorComplete and turn in all paperwork and COD payments as requiredOther tasks and duties as assignedRequirements:1 year commercial drivingDOT medical card required - must be able to pass the physicalMVR Record required prior to hire - must meet internal requirementsMust be able to lift at least 50-75 lbs.Background check required - no history of violence or theftNegative drug screen (including marijuana)
