Grant Finance & Bookkeeping Specialist Bryant Christie Inc. (BCI), an international affairs firm specializing in agricultural and food trade, is seeking a detail-oriented Grant Finance & Bookkeeping Specialist to support the financial administration of client export market development programs.This role includes bookkeeping assistance for small agricultural non-profit organizations and grant-related accounting functions, including invoice review, payment processing, reconciliations, budgeting support, and financial reporting tied to U.S. government-funded programs. This is not a full-charge accounting or controller role, but rather a critical operational position supporting compliance, accuracy, and timely financial processing.Key Responsibilities:Bookkeeping for agricultural non-profit organizations including accounts payable and accounts receivable. No payroll.Review, process, and track invoices to ensure compliance with U.S. government grant program requirements, with a focus on international product promotion activitiesManage invoice workflows and accounts payable to support timely and accurate paymentsCommunicate with clients and overseas vendors to resolve invoice questions and documentation needsAssist with contract setup, budget tracking, and expense monitoring for grant-funded programsRecord payments and perform bank and account reconciliations related to program activityPrepare routine financial reports and summaries for internal teams and clientsSupport audit preparation, including documentation gathering and responding to audit requestsPerform other finance- and administration-related tasks as assignedWhat the Successful Candidate will have:Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus while handling repetitive, accuracy-driven tasksClear written and verbal communication skills, particularly when working with vendors and clientsAbility to manage and prioritize a steady, transaction-heavy workloadA sense of ownership and pride in producing clean, well-documented workWhat could set you apart:College degree (not required)Experience with spreadsheets, bookkeeping, or financial data trackingFamiliarity with federal or state grant programs, cost eligibility rules, or compliance requirementsLocation: Seattle, Washington or Sacramento, California BCI operates a hybrid model of partial in-office and remote working. Physical presence in the Sacramento metropolitan area is required.
