Lead Android Developer
Job Description- Typically requires a completed technical degree and 8+ years of relevant, progressive experience- Stays up to date with latest Play Store requirements and latest Android features- Proven experience of full lifecycle support of Android applications, from development to publishing and support- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON- Experience with Android SDK, Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose- Experience writing multi-threaded and networked apps- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies- Able to operate with openness and efficiency with one or more SDLC methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Agile)- Actively seeks feedback and guidance to improve technical skills (e.g., through submitting work for code review)- Works with existing data models and schemas and suggests changes and improvements where necessary- Debugs and fixes your own software with minimal assistance- Practices automated testing and tests your work in an automated and repeatable wayRoles & Responsibilities- As a Lead will collaborate with customer internal teams to design, modify and develop applications for the financial services industry.- Requires specialized knowledge and expertise in their own job discipline and deep experience in integrating related disciplinary knowledge.- Leads disciplinary or cross-functional program of notable risk; uses sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.- Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.- Acts as advisor to management and key external stakeholders on broad-ranging projects.- Mentor and lead other developers enabling them to work independently- Lead development efforts, provide input into architectural and design decisions, provide realistic estimates.- Design and develop solutions working with other internal groups such as architecture, design team, dev ops and enterprise security to ensure alignment with enterprise technology direction and standards.- Contribute to code reviews and provide feedback- Lead discussions to drive tactical vs. strategic decisions, outlining trade-offs
