Position SummaryThe Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the strategic and operational leader of the organization, responsible for advancing the mission, ensuring financial sustainability, and overseeing all programs and services. The CEO works closely with the Board of Directors to set vision and strategy while leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and outcomes for youth and families.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute the organization's long-term vision and strategic planPartner with the Board of Directors to align mission, goals, and performance outcomesIdentify growth opportunities, partnerships, and program expansion initiativesOperational OversightProvide leadership across residential, foster care, adoption, and educational programsEnsure compliance with all state licensing, regulatory, and accreditation requirementsDrive continuous improvement in service delivery, safety, and program effectivenessFinancial ManagementOversee budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal accountabilityEnsure long-term financial sustainability through diversified revenue streamsManage relationships with funding sources, including government contracts, grants, and donorsTeam Leadership & CultureBuild, lead, and retain a high-performing leadership teamFoster a mission-driven, accountable, and supportive organizational cultureEnsure effective talent development, succession planning, and staff engagementExternal Relations & FundraisingServe as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the organizationCultivate relationships with donors, community leaders, partners, and stakeholdersLead fundraising initiatives, grant development, and community outreach effortsGovernance & ComplianceMaintain strong governance practices in partnership with the BoardEnsure adherence to legal, ethical, and regulatory standardsProvide transparent reporting on organizational performance and outcomesQualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred10+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit, behavioral health, child welfare, or residential care settingsProven experience leading multi-program organizations and managing senior leadersStrong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and funding managementDemonstrated success in fundraising, donor relations, or revenue developmentKnowledge of child welfare systems, trauma-informed care, and regulatory compliance preferredKey CompetenciesVisionary and strategic thinkerStrong operational and financial leadershipExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsMission-driven with a passion for serving youth and familiesHigh integrity and sound judgmentWhy JoinOpportunity to lead a mission-driven organization with deep community impactAbility to shape strategy, growth, and long-term sustainabilityLead meaningful change in the lives of vulnerable youth and families
