To learn more about partnering with us or accessing our services, visit friendsoffirstcoast.org.Role DescriptionThe Center Director leads the day-to-day operations of the Center, ensuring a welcoming, professional, and mission-driven environment for clients, staff, and volunteers. This role provides hands-on leadership, oversees the delivery of client services with excellence and compassion, and ensures alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Center Director is also responsible for managing staff and volunteers, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of care that reflects the values of First Coast Women’s Services.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Administration:● Make prayer an integral part of daily operations, including pre-shift devotions and prayer.● Ensure alignment with FCWS Core Values, policies, vision, and Statement of Faith.● Prepare monthly and annual center reports for the CEO, Finance Director, Board of Directors, and external agencies as required.● Screen, schedule, and delegate responsibilities to staff and volunteers for effective center operations.● Implement operational policies and procedures in coordination with leadership.● Operate within budget guidelines and identify opportunities to reduce costs.● Maintain accurate records and statistical data; ensure trained data entry personnel are in place.● Communicate and oversee facility and supply needs with the Operations Director● Provide management in crisis or special needs situations.● Conduct annual evaluations for assigned staff (CSD and CSA).● Assist with special projects as assigned by the CEO.Volunteer & Training Support:● Actively recruit volunteers through church outreach and community engagement.● Interview, screen, and schedule prospective volunteers.● Plan and support regular ongoing volunteer training in coordination with the Training Director.● Provide supervision, encouragement, and annual evaluations for volunteers.● Review and sign off on client notes to ensure standard of care is met.● Oversee all counseling and client services offered at the center.● Assist in planning and executing Volunteer Appreciation events.● Attend and support new volunteer training (quarterly) and ongoing shift training.Client Needs Responsibilities:● Provide initial options counseling when volunteers are unavailable or inadequate to meet client needs● Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and Sonographer to supervise and coordinate medical clinic staff● Ensure proper contact is maintained with referral agencies● Support the Client Services Director(s) in managing support services● Ensure timely and accurate data entry of all client files● Communicate potential client stories to the Development Director and Communications Coordinator, including client numbers when leads arise● Submit client baby pictures and consents to the Development Director and Communications Coordinator regularlyPublic Relations Responsibilities:● Actively seek out and engage new churches for development activities and volunteerism● Cultivate ongoing partnerships with existing churches● Coordinate with churches for work days and serve opportunities (in-person and at-home)● Immediately notify the CEO of any sensitive issues that could impact the organization or lead to media/legal exposure● Identify and pursue development activities; communicate with the Events Manager● Record donor/church correspondence in the database● Assist with fundraising events as requested by the CEO and Development Director________________________________________Skills & Abilities● Strong capabilities to recruit, train, coach, inspire, and spiritually lead.● Excellent skills in communication, delegation, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and team building.● Strong leadership and organizational skills.● Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.● Ability to work independently and in coordination with team leadership.● Comfortable managing sensitive client situations and supervising volunteers.________________________________________QualificationsRequired:● Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.● Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position.● Agree with and be willing to uphold the Core Values, Statement of Faith, and Policies and Procedures of the ministry.● Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing, administration, or a related field – or equivalent experience.● Three to five years of experience in a profession requiring management – or the equivalent.● Two years of experience as a volunteer or staff person for a Christian ministry.● Knowledge and competence in working with computer software such as Word and Excel, and in accessing the internet.● Background in volunteer management or team coordination.
