Design Engineer
SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for preparing detailed drawings for motor control circuit designs in accordance with customer specifications, primarily for Variable Frequency Drive applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operates computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment and produces designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records.
Coordinates structural, electrical and mechanical of motor control circuits.
Checks dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to lists of materials.
Develop quotations per customer specifications.
Create BOM per job specs.
Interact with sales force and production department.
Conduct design reviews with production department.
Provide technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Must have experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD/ACAD)

Autodesk AutoCAD software; Logitech 3D Pro;
ERP Software – INFOR/Visual
