Key Responsibilities:Patient Care: Provide compassionate and attentive care to patients in the Medical Surgical Care Department, ensuring their comfort and well-being.EKG Proficiency: Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) accurately and efficiently to monitor patients' heart activity.Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly measure and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate.Splinting: Apply and adjust splints as needed, ensuring proper immobilization and comfort for patients.Glucometer Use: Utilize glucometers to check and record patients' blood glucose levels, and report any abnormalities to the nursing or medical staff.Phlebotomy Skills: Perform blood draws with precision and care, ensuring samples are collected and labeled correctly for lab analysis.Basic Life Support (BLS): Maintain a current BLS certification to provide immediate care in emergency situations. Qualifications:State Licensing: Must hold an active Certified Nursing Assistant license in the State of Maine.Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in EKG, vital signs monitoring, splinting, and glucometer use.Phlebotomy: Competence in performing phlebotomy is essential.BLS Certification: A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
