Maintenance Forklift Driver 2nd shift

Job Description Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and facilities while safely operating a stand-up forklift to support material handling needs. This role ensures equipment reliability, workplace safety, and efficient operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & RepairPerform routine preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systemsDiagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issuesRepair or replace defective parts, components, or systemsMaintain maintenance logs, work orders, and service recordsConduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standardsSupport installation and setup of new equipmentForklift OperationSafely operate a stand-up forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materialsTransport materials to production or storage areas as requiredPerform daily forklift inspections (battery, controls, safety features)Maintain proper stacking and storage practices to prevent damage or hazardsFollow all OSHA and company safety proceduresSafety & ComplianceAdhere to all safety regulations and company policiesIdentify and report unsafe conditions or incidentsUse proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesParticipate in safety training and continuous improvement initiativesGeneral DutiesAssist with facility upkeep and minor building repairsCoordinate with production, warehouse, and management teamsMaintain clean and organized work areas (5S standards)Respond to emergency maintenance requests as neededQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED2+ years of maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environmentValid stand-up forklift certification (or ability to obtain)Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skillsBasic knowledge of electrical systems and toolsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environmentPreferredTechnical certification or trade school trainingExperience with conveyors, PLCs, or automated systemsWelding or fabrication skillsFamiliarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)Company Description Ron's Staffing Services, Inc. is the leader in providing industrial temporary help.
