With a 150-year heritage in delivering industry-leading sleep solutions, we own iconic brands including Serta, Beautyrest, Simmons and Tuft & Needle.What You'll Do:Assemble panels and borders according to established work instructions using various sewing machines (e.g., double overcaster, Brother quilter, serger)Sew borders to panel cloth and produce mattress and box spring coversOvercast edges of quilting border material rollsRead production tickets, gather required materials, and document work accuratelyOperate sewing machines using foot pedals and hand controlsMove finished product, replace empty carts, and retrieve full carts of materialsSort, fold, and stack covers, borders, and panels as neededAccurately record sizes and complete required production documentationHow You'll Do It:Perform basic machine maintenance (rethreading, needle changes, etc.)Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstationUse measuring tools (ruler) and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions) to ensure quality and accuracyWhat You'll Bring:Must be 18 years or olderHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrior sewing experience in a textile or manufacturing environment is preferredExperience using industrial sewing equipment is a plusWages & Shift Hours:* $21.00/hour (base pay)* +$2.00/hour second shift differentialFor this position: The shift hours are 3:30pm-12:00amWhy work at Serta Simmons Bedding?When you join SSB, you become part of a winning and diverse team that is excited and committed to helping people get better sleep.
