CNC Machinist

SPF America is currently hiring a 1st shift CNC Machinist for its Fort Smith, AR location. Key aspects of the CNC Machinist role: Understand the safe operation of vertical machining centers. Set-up for proper loading and unloading of parts. Start and zero machine as required. Load and run programs. Deburring parts. Basic tool management and maintenance. Basic machine maintenance. Capable of inserting programs into machine. Install, uninstall, and zero vises and other fixtures. Load tools in holders. Capable of zeroing tool height. Proficient with use of calipers and micrometers. Demonstrate understanding of blueprints and drawings. Capable of setting up jobs from prints. Perform program modifications and tool offsets. Proficient at sharpening tools. Display advanced understanding of prints/requirements to recognize needed changes/revisions or errors. GD&T knowledge is a plus.
