PLC Programmer

Overview We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) within an industrial setting. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical experience in various aspects of electrical and mechanical systems. The PLC Programmer will be responsible for the programming of automated systems in an OEM setup plant. Duties Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for various automated systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs, sensors, and distributed control systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize control systems. Perform calibration and maintenance on precision measuring instruments and vision inspection systems. Read and interpret schematics to aid in troubleshooting and repairs. Provide field service support as needed, including high voltage and low voltage electrical work. Utilize AutoCAD for design modifications and documentation of control systems is desired. Maintain accurate records of programming changes, maintenance activities, and system performance. Skills Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLC) programming languages such as ladder logic. Strong understanding of hydraulics, mechanical knowledge, and industrial equipment schematics practices. Experience as an industrial electrician or in electrical maintenance roles. Familiarity with calibration techniques and the use of precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of CNC machinery operations and maintenance. Experience with customer service in a technical support capacity. Ability to work with high voltage systems safely. Familiarity with Siemens, Allan Bradley and Omron programming is required.
