Project Manager
Role: Project manager - FinTechLocation: Berkeley Heights, NJ – onsiteLong term contractKey ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end project delivery for FinTech products, platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, QA teams, and third-party vendors.Drive Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project methodologies based on project requirements.Manage project risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans.Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, security standards, and governance requirements.Monitor project performance using KPIs, dashboards, and status reporting.Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, release planning, and stakeholder reviews.Coordinate UAT activities, production releases, and post-implementation support.Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and external delivery partners.Provide regular executive-level project status updates and presentations.Drive continuous process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.Support organizational change management and stakeholder adoption activities.Required Skills & QualificationsDomain ExpertiseStrong experience in FinTech, Banking, Financial Services, Payments, Lending, Wealth Management, or Card Processing.Knowledge of digital payments, payment gateways, merchant acquiring, card issuing, mobile banking, or financial platforms.Understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and security standards.Project ManagementProven experience managing large-scale enterprise projects and programs.Expertise in Agile Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.Strong project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management skills.Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet.Leadership & CommunicationExcellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.Ability to lead geographically distributed teams.Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.Experience managing teams of business analysts, developers, QA engineers, architects, and vendors.Preferred QualificationsPMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or SAFe certification.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Familiarity with APIs, microservices architecture, and digital banking platforms.Knowledge of ISO 20022, ISO 8583, SWIFT, ACH, RTP, FedNow, or Open Banking frameworks is a plus.Key CompetenciesStrategic PlanningStakeholder ManagementRisk & Issue ManagementFinancial ManagementTeam LeadershipVendor ManagementAgile DeliveryRegulatory ComplianceChange ManagementExecutive Reporting
