Market Supervisor
Job Title: Market Supervisor Department: Operations FLSA Classification: Exempt Reports To: Francis Richard Last Modified: 2/12/26 Job Summary Oversees all aspects of daily operations in an assigned market to ensure expected plant performance and customer service expectations are achieved. Supervises field technicians as well as customer facing contractors to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provides leadership and training to field technicians working within assigned markets. Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline. Prepares and submits material requests in order to meet daily operational needs while maintaining equipment and material inventory. Ensures adherence to the budget and, when unexpected complications or issues arise, makes quick and necessary adjustments. Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned structures, facilities, and systems. Assists with service issues or field technician needs on weekends and nights. Ensures timely use of the software identified to track progress (i.e., Ocius X, Visions) by contractors and in-house field technicians. Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met. Oversees routing and scheduling of field technicians. Collaborates with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues. Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies. Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, contractors, tradespersons, and craft workers. Communicates with landowners to resolve issues that arise in easements and on private property. Builds and maintains relationships with the community and officials. Ensures monthly Safety Meetings, Truck Inspections and Tool Inspections are performed and documented. Other duties as specified/assigned. Job Qualifications: 5+ years’ experience managing/leading a team required. 5+ years of telecommunications experience required. Safety Training including electrical clearances, OSHA-12, traffic control, bucket truck safety, and ladder safety required. Ability to work long hours involving overtime and weekends, as necessary. Ability to respond to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation. Must be able to work emergency schedules during natural disasters and network outages. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record meeting the company and insurance policy conditions. Skills: Strong verbal and written communication Critical thinking and complex problem-solving Sound judgment and decision-making Service-oriented mindset Excellent organizational and time management skill Ability to multitask and perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environment Experience managing personnel resource Proficient in Google Suite or related software Thorough understanding of contracts, specifications, regulations, and construction drawing Spanish proficiency preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day. Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds. Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces. Ability to climb and work at elevations (i.e., ladders, poles, lift trucks) exceeding 18 feet. Ability to work in confined spaces (i.e., attics, crawl spaces, utility holes). Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry locating equipment as required. Ability to work in all weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
