Job Details Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,550 - $4,870 (locum tenens PA pay) Location: Morgantown, WV 26505 - West Virginia hospital jobs Setting: Hospital - Level IV Trauma Center; Electrophysiology (EP) lab support Start Date: July 27, 2026 End Date: October 26, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks (maternity leave coverage) Shift: Days, Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts) Hours per Week: 40 Support Team: 3 ER physicians and multidisciplinary care team Patient Volume: 20 consults and 6 outpatient EP procedures per day EMR: Cerner (experience with Cerner EMR preferred) Hospital Bed Size: 189 beds Qualifications & Requirements Active Physician Assistant license (West Virginia or willingness to obtain licensure quickly) Board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) DEA registration required Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 1 year PA clinical experience; hospital, trauma, or cardiology/EP experience preferred Experience in cardiac electrophysiology, EP lab procedures, device clinics, or acute care is a plus Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred Key Responsibilities Provide consultative care in electrophysiology and cardiology settings for patients of all ages Assist with outpatient EP procedures, device clinic work, pacemaker/ICD programming, and MRI device programming Perform tilt table tests and other EP-specific diagnostics as needed Obtain informed consent and assist with patient education around EP procedures and device management Collaborate closely with ER physicians, cardiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care Document patient encounters and procedure notes accurately using Cerner EMR Work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment supporting both inpatient consults and outpatient EP volume Why This Locum Tenens PA Job Hands-on electrophysiology experience in a hospital-based EP lab - ideal for PAs seeking EP/arrhythmia exposure Competitive weekly pay and full-time schedule (maternity leave coverage) Opportunity to work with an experienced interdisciplinary team in a Level IV Trauma Center Live and explore Morgantown, WV - outdoor recreation, local culture, and a welcoming community Ready to advance your career in cardiac electrophysiology?
