Senior Data Architect

Role: GCP Data ArchitectLocation: Remote (Prefer someone in NJ)ContractWe are looking for candidates with strong experience in the following areas:DBT for BigQuery transformations (run, test, compile)Matillion ETL for orchestrationGCP Data ArchitectSkills Required: Data Architecture, GCP BigQuery, Python, dbt, Matillion, Clinical Data Modeling/WarehousingDetailed JD:Data Architecture in cloud environments (preferably GCP) with demonstrable BigQuery depth.Hands-on experience with dbt (Core/Cloud): models, tests, macros, documentation, CI/CD.Strong expertise with Matillion ETL for orchestration and ingestion patterns.Advanced SQL and Python for data engineering, automation, and validation.Solid understanding of clinical data standards: CDISC SDTM/ADaM, OMOP, HL7/FHIR; experience with EHR/EMR, EDC/CTMS, claims, lab data.Proven track record designing scalable, cost-efficient, secure data platforms.Git-based workflows, code reviews, branching strategies; experience with Cloud Build / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI.Architect transformation layers using dbt (staging, intermediate, marts), enforce testing, documentation, macros, and CI/CD.Design robust ingestion/orchestration in Matillion (job orchestration, parameterization, error handling, audit logging).Integrate dbt and Matillion with Cloud Composer (Airflow) and Git-based workflows.
