Job DescriptionUp to $12,500 Sign-On bonus based on experienceShift: Days, 7:00am to 5:30pmHours: 10Job Type: Part TimeAssists with quality patient care in an operating room setting.1. Knowledge in principles of surgical nursing and aseptic technique. Able to collect, interpret, record and communicate pertinent data and assist in any surgical treatments relevant to the patient's care in surgery.2. Ability to provide a safe environment for patients requiring surgical procedures. Conducts job duties in accordance with established hospital policy and safety/sanitation standards.3. Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing and circulating for surgical procedures.4. Ability to assemble all necessary instruments, supplies, equipment and drugs used in the operating groom.5. Provides instruction to patients entering the surgical suite. Explains procedures to patients thoroughly, provides assistance when necessary, monitors patients' comfort and alleviates anxiety during procedures.6. Demonstrates ability to supervise ancillary staff in the management of the surgical suite. Able to direct transportation of the patient, management of supplies and cleaning of OR suite through ancillary staff as necessary.7. Participates in QI activities for the surgical suite.8. Maintains certifications/licenses required without prompting or intervention9. Demonstrates competence in the care of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients (when /if assigned to these patients) relative to determining each patient's age-related and other physical, psychological and cultural needs and carrying patient care activities.Physical demands:Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 poundsOccasional prolonged standing/walkingOccasionally lifts supplies/equipmentOccasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouchingWorking Conditions:Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstancesRegularly exposed to the risk of blood borne diseasesOccasional exposure to unpleasant patient or unit elementsMinimum Education/Certification/Experience:Associate's Degree1 year experience as a Medical/Surgical nurseCurrent California RNCurrent CPR#LI-AM7Join our dedicated healthcare team where compassion meets innovation!
