Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role in York, PA, for a Direct Support Professional. The role involves providing individualized support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring their day-to-day needs are met while promoting their independence and dignity. Key responsibilities include assisting with personal care tasks, promoting skill development, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive and respectful environment. Collaboration with team members, families, and other stakeholders is integral to the role. Qualifications Experience or knowledge in Human Services or working with individuals with Intellectual DisabilitiesStrong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team membersEffective Communication Skills, both verbal and written, to support clients and collaborate with othersAbility to participate in and apply Training related to caregiving, safety, and client-specific needsCompassion, patience, and a commitment to promoting the dignity and independence of individualsHigh school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or experience in caregiving or special education is a plusPhysical ability to support clients safely, including lifting and mobility assistance
