Purchasing Clerk

Job TitleResponsible for all production (manufacturing) related receiving of parts and supplies. Duties And ResponsibilitiesAccurately receive materials from deliveries, confirm item receipt in SAP. Operate Forklift, or other hand trucks to move items in warehouse and/or production area. Maintain a clean warehouse for raw material storage. Assist with Month End inventory counts. Conduct Raw Material counts. Conduct Spare Parts counts. Modify pre-existing POs if necessary to reflect tax adjustments or pricing changes. Greet and direct delivery drivers when necessary. Collaborate with many areas of the organization to ensure the highest quality of data and information sharing. Unload packages and check their content for accuracy, and assist in the management of inventory. Serve as back up to procurement team members. Be familiar with standard products used and research sources of supplies for highest quality, best value for money, best terms, etc. for presentation to management when needed. Schedule and expedite non-manufactured item shipping, such as materials returns, material transfers to other locations. Comply with company policies and procedures. Additional duties as assigned by management. Education And/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED. Clear, concise oral and written communication skills. Forklift or lift-truck experience. Candidates are preferred who offer the following: Prior Forklift or lift-truck experience. Ideal candidate will be currently enrolled, or willing to continue their education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant fields. Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and contracts. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the company. Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions.
