Join us in creating safe, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing structures that stand the test of time.This position specializes in structural engineering, you'll analyze building structures, and/or bridge performance related to structural elements and site conditions for new construction projects. You'll review contractors' work, prepare design packages, and develop documentation that communicates complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.Responsibilities:Perform structural analysis, design and detailing for diverse structure types using various building codesCoordinate design work with in-house staff and other design professionals including Contractors, Architects and EngineersPrepare construction documents within a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environmentDevelop precise design specifications and calculations for active projectsCreate technical reports with clear structure and language that clients can easily understandSupport project management by maintaining schedules, processing change orders, and monitoring budgetsPerform other duties as needed and assignedEducation/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. 3-6 Years of relevant experience in structural analysis and designUnderstanding of processes, compliance, and other design consulting and construction professionalsRequired Competencies:Understanding of standard construction practices and ability to collaborate with contractors to resolve construction issuesStrong verbal and written communications skillsDetail oriented with excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilitiesRequired SkillsBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree strongly preferred)Proven experience (0-5 years) in structural engineering design, calculations, drawings, and analysis in a consulting / design office environmentAdvanced proficiency with structural analysis and design softwareExperience with Revit or similar modeling software is highly desirableStrong technical writing skills (reports, memos, calculations)Excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to collaborate across disciplinesSelf-driven, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlinesWillingness to travel to job sites (as needed)PVEDI provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
