In this role, you’ll combine your technical expertise in Fluid Power with strategic sales acumen to develop new accounts, grow existing business, and deliver innovative solutions to customers.The mission: Win new customers. Essential FunctionsDrive Sales Growth: Meet and exceed annual sales and gross profit goalsWin New Business: Prospect, follow up, and convert new OEM, Capital Project, and MRO customersDevelop Target Accounts: Identify and focus on key strategic accounts for long-term growthUnderstand Customer Needs: Conduct detailed needs assessments and develop tailored solutions based on technical and business insightsDeliver Winning Proposals: Create compelling proposals, presentations, and quotations that align with customer requirementsNegotiate for Success: Close deals that maximize value for both the customer and the companyEnsure Customer Satisfaction: Provide responsive, on-time, and error-free service while proactively solving problemsCollaborate Internally: Leverage internal technical and service resources to deliver the best solutionsUtilize CRM Tools: Track metrics, manage opportunities, and report weekly progressContinuous Improvement: Participate in weekly accountability meetings and ongoing training through SunSource UniversityExperience, Education And SkillsBachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering OR 2-year technical degree in Fluid Power is preferred 3+ years of industrial sales experience, experience with value-add sales is strongly preferred 2+ years in Fluid Power sales is strongly preferredKnowledge of Automation or Motion Control a plusProven ability to meet and exceed sales targetsStrong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindsetConsultative, value-added sales approachExcellent communication, planning, and negotiation skillsSelf-motivated, organized, and competitiveValid driver’s license requiredOvernight travel may be required at timesHow Success Is MeasuredAchievement of sales, margin, and quote goalsGrowth in new customers and target accountsConsistent CRM activity and call cadenceCross-selling success and collaboration across business unitsDemonstration of creativity, initiative, and teamworkWhy Join Us?
