This role combines technical engineering expertise with project management responsibilities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role is hands on and would work closely with site leadershipKey ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementPlan, execute, and oversee manufacturing projects from initiation to completionDevelop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plansMonitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet objectivesCoordinate cross-functional teams including production, quality, supply chain, and vendorsIdentify risks and implement mitigation strategiesProvide regular project updates to stakeholders and leadershipEngineering & Technical SupportDevelop, Document, and improve manufacturing processes and systemsLead new product introduction (NPI) and process validationOptimize efficiency, quality, and cost through continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standardsBOM & system managementCreate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in PLM/ERP systemsCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure BOM accuracy on new and current product linesManage engineering change orders (ECOs) and update BOMs accordinglyEnsure compliance with company standards and industry regulationsSupport new product introductions by developing initial BOMsCoordinate with suppliers for component information and updatesMaintain documentation and version control for all BOMsAssist in resolving BOM-related issues during productionParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives related to BOM processesCollaboration & CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for project-related activitiesWork closely with internal teams and external partnersPrepare and present technical reports, project updates, and documentationQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred and or equivalent experience3-7+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project managementExperience managing projects in a manufacturing environment preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong project management skills (planning, scheduling, budgeting)Proficiency with project management tools and ExcelSolid understanding of manufacturing processes and systemsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles (preferred)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and leadership abilitiesPreferred Qualifications* PMP (Project Management Professional) certification* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, etc.)Work Environment* Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment may spend greater than 50% of time on production floor* May require occasional travel to suppliers or project sitesKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)On-time project deliveryBudget adherenceProcess efficiency improvementsQuality and safety complianceDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
