Provn is hiring a Full Stack Java Developer for a contract role building enterprise-grade applications with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and integrated Generative AI workflows.Comp: $65-$70/hr. Hybrid in Charlotte, NC. Contract.This contract role combines traditional enterprise Java development and modern AI integration. You'll architect scalable microservices, build responsive Angular frontends, and bring LLM capabilities into workflows that enterprise teams actually use day to day. You'll also contribute to architectural direction and technical strategy, not just ticket-level execution.What you'll be doing:Designing and building full stack applications across a Java/Spring Boot backend and an Angular frontendArchitecting microservices and implementing API gatewaysDesigning RESTful APIs and optimizing backend services for performance and reliabilityBuilding responsive, component-based UIs with Angular (v10+), TypeScript, RxJS, and NgRxWorking with message brokers like Kafka and RabbitMQ for event-driven workflowsIntegrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) into enterprise workflows, including prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and RAG architecturesDatabase design, indexing, and query optimization across SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and MongoDBLeading code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and keeping standards high across the teamPartnering with product managers, UX, DevOps, and QA throughout the delivery cycleWhat we're looking for:Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring SecurityHands-on experience designing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs at production scaleAdvanced Angular (v10+) experience with TypeScript, RxJS, and NgRxSolid SQL experience with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, plus hands-on MongoDBExperience with message brokers: Kafka and RabbitMQHands-on experience integrating LLM APIs and building AI-powered workflowsWorking knowledge of embeddings, vector databases, and RAG architectureExposure to LangChain or similar orchestration frameworksDocker and Kubernetes experienceCI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similarCloud platform experience on AWS, Azure, or GCPMust be authorized to work in the US.
