Quantitative Software Developer l No Sponsorship AvailableDetailsCompensation: $120,000 - $170,000 (Based on experience and qualifications)Location: Chicago (Downtown)Work Environment: HybridQuantitative Software DeveloperJob ResponsibilitiesOwn and operate the end-to-end portfolio construction pipelineBuild and maintain scalable data pipelines and model execution frameworksEnsure production systems are reliable, automated, and auditableImplement monitoring, alerting, and logging to maintain system stabilityTroubleshoot production issues across data, models, and infrastructure Productionize quantitative models, signals, and portfolio construction logicBuild reusable tools for optimization, risk modeling, and constraintsSupport research workflows with consistent and scalable infrastructurePartner with researchers to bridge the gap between prototype code and production systems Work closely with PMs, researchers, and engineering teamsTranslate model outputs into implementation-ready portfoliosContinuously improve system performance, automation, and code quality Quantitative Software DeveloperQualifications0–3 years of experience in software engineering, quant development, or similarStrong Python skills with focus on clean, maintainable, production-quality codeDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fieldSolid foundation in statistics, linear algebra, or optimization concepts Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL and data-intensive workflowsExposure to ETL pipelines, scheduling tools (Airflow, Prefect), or monitoring systemsFamiliarity with Git, testing frameworks, and CI/CD practicesExposure to financial data (Bloomberg, etc) or quantitative libraries (NumPy, pandas, SciPy) is preferred but not requiredQuantitative Software DeveloperIdeal Candidate ProfileStrong software engineer first, with interest in financeThinks in terms of systems, reliability, and scalabilityDetail-oriented and cares about correctness and maintainabilityCurious about markets and motivated to learn on the jobBuild a rewarding long-term career with us at CFS—when we knock, doors open.Timing is everything.
