Reliability EngineerLocation- Orlando, Florida (On-site 4 10/hr shifts)Clearance- SecretThis program requires US CitizenshipPosition OverviewThe Senior Reliability Engineer conducts detailed Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) on parts and sub?assemblies and develops accelerated aging test plans to validate product reliability and lifecycle performance. The role works closely with design engineers, material scientists, test labs, and program managers to identify, quantify, and mitigate reliability risks through targeted testing and design improvements.Job ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain component level FMECA worksheets in accordance with MIL STD 1629A (or equivalent) and internal standards.Identify failure modes, causes, and effects on system performance.Assign criticality rankings and document mitigation strategies.Update FMECA results throughout the product lifecycle and capture lessons learned.Define accelerated life test objectives and acceleration factors using Arrhenius, Coffin Manson, or similar models.Coordinate test execution with internal laboratories.Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.3-5 years of hands on reliability engineering experience, including component level FMECA and accelerated aging/thermal cycling tests.Strong root cause analysis, risk assessment, and data interpretation skills; ability to work with large data sets.Proficiency with reliability standards such as MILSTD 1629A, IEC 60812, etc. (3-5 years)Strong knowledge of failure physics, degradation mechanisms, and material behavior under stress. (3-5 years)Experience developing and interpreting test plans using ASTM, IEC, or MIL methods. (3-5 years)Ability to manage multiple analyses and test programs while maintaining documentation control. (3-5 years)Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and presenting to large groups. (3-5 years)Desired SkillsFamiliarity with Model Based Engineering tools (e.g., Cameo). (3-5 years)Experience with reliability software such as ReliaSoft, Weibull++, ANSYS Reliability, and statistical tools like Minitab, R, or Python. (3-5 years)Hands on hardware testing and troubleshooting experience. (3-5 years)Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities requiring innovation. (3-5 years)Ability to manage subcontractors in the reliability engineering domain.
