This role combines hands-on architecture with team leadership, focusing on building scalable, secure, and high-performing data environments within a modern cloud ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical depth, leadership experience, and the ability to align data strategy with business objectives.Core ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Data ArchitectureDefine and evolve enterprise data architecture across cloud-based platformsDesign scalable data models, pipelines, and storage solutions to support analytics and operational use casesEnsure alignment between data architecture, business priorities, and compliance standardsData Platform & EngineeringOversee data integration, transformation, and migration initiatives across multiple systemsEstablish and maintain data quality, reliability, and performance standardsOptimize data environments for scalability, efficiency, and long-term sustainabilityLeadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers and analystsDrive delivery across multiple initiatives, ensuring timelines and quality standards are metPromote best practices and foster a collaborative, innovation-focused cultureStakeholder EngagementPartner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and define solutionsTranslate business needs into scalable technical designs and implementation plansCommunicate progress, risks, and architectural direction to senior leadershipSecurity & GovernanceImplement and enforce data governance, security, and access controlsEnsure compliance with relevant data privacy and regulatory frameworksEstablish standards for data usage, lineage, and lifecycle managementQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.); advanced degree preferredExperience10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data environments5+ years in a leadership or management capacity overseeing technical teamsTechnical EnvironmentStrong experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure or similar ecosystem)Background in building and supporting data pipelines, integration workflows, and distributed data systemsExperience with modern data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas)Proficiency with relational and non-relational databasesExposure to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development practicesFamiliarity with large-scale data processing and analytics environmentsCertifications (Preferred)Cloud or data-related certifications within a major cloud provider ecosystemKey StrengthsProven leadership and team-building capabilitiesStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to operate at both strategic and hands-on levelsExperience working across cross-functional teams in fast-paced environmentsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary + bonus potentialComprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision)Retirement plan with employer contributionOngoing professional development and training support
