Change Manager
Location: ChicagoThe Change Manager will apply structured change management methodologies in complex environments to ensure projects are positioned for successful deployment and sustained success. This professional will be working closely with stakeholders to oversee change management processes and coach team leads to better work with proven change management methodologies. To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes.Responsibilities:Lead the IT Change Management Office, responsible for IT OCM methodology, tools, and self-service processes for IT leaders to plan, scope, and integrate OCM into their efforts.Partner with the IT Project Management Office on process and skill-building initiatives with IT project and program managers.Direct the IT OCM Center of Excellence and OCM Community of Practice, driving continuous improvement with advanced OCM practitioners and fostering interest and development across the IT organization.Advise and coach IT project leads and leaders on OCM best practices, approaches, and resources.Oversee change readiness and ability to sustain change after implementation.Partner with Project leads to understand proposed changes and provide insight into potential impacts and risks. Track upcoming initiatives and projects to plan for potential change requests and associated impacts/risks.Evaluate OCM processes, training resources, vendor relationships, etc. to measure impact, performance, and usability in service to IT OCM objectives.Utilize CMBOK and Six Sigma methodologies.Provide strategic insights into potential change impacts.Assess change impact, how it is related to change approach and recommend modifications when needed.Manage process to identify and assess risks associated with items brought to OCM/CGB meetings and recommend modifications as needed.Provide regular updates to senior IT management on change management capabilities, tracking change management delivery against objectives (i.e., Roadmaps, Strategy).Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.Develop multiyear roadmap to strategically manage OCM/CGB process as environment evolves; obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables.Conduct post project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or relevant work experienceAdvanced Degree a plusIndustry Certification a plus – LaMarsh, Prosci, CCMP, etc.8+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years as a Change ManagerProven track record in working on enterprise-level large projectsExperience in process definition, documentation, and continuous improvement initiativesGreat written and verbal communications skills with the ability to negotiate and reach “win-win” scenariosAbility to direct and lead teams – identifying change management tasks, setting priorities, assigning and monitoring workAbility to interact with and manage both local and virtual project teamsExperience (leading or participating) in the deployment of enterprise-wide processesExperience working with Jira and Confluence Expert knowledge of the MS Office Suite – Project, Visio, Word, ExcelKnowledge of Agile and Waterfall
