This position requires knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.This role demonstrates the ability to pay keen attention to detail, possess a strong customer service orientation and have the ability to work as part of a team. 100% onsite roleNeeds Active TS/SCI Technical Knowledge:Maintain secure and scalable SQL Server database systems in on-premises and cloud environments.Availability: Maintain and troubleshoot high availability/disaster recovery solutions such as failover-cluster instances and availability groups.Performance: The administrator should have experience in DBMS performance optimization and be able to identify and resolve performance issues.Security: The administrator should have an understanding of DBMS security and be able to implement and maintain administrative and technical controls.Collaboration: The administrator should be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other administrators, engineers, and stakeholders across multiple time zones.Communication: The administrator must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Communicates effectively both orally and in writingProblem Solving: The administrator should have the ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the organization in the cloud and on-premises environments.Continuous Learning: The rapidly changing nature of technology requires the administrator to have a continuous learning mindset and be comfortable with adapting to new technologies and best practices in cloud and on-premise environments.Preferred skills: experience with DBMS supporting technologies such as Active Directory\EntraID, DNS, GPO, PKI, Kerberos, and automation. Experience with MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle is a plus.In addition to these skills, the administrator should also have experience with IT service management practices and an understanding of DBMS architecture and best practices.
