Paraprofessional
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for children in a classroom setting.
- Provide support to children with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment for children.
- Assist with classroom management, including maintaining discipline and promoting positive behavior.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational goals.
- Support children in their learning and development, including assisting with math concepts and other subjects as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Possession or ability to obtain a CPR and first aid certificate.
- Paraprofessionals are required to have an Associates degree or Bachelors.
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different children and situations.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established policies and procedures.
