This role ensures consistency, excellence, and creativity in communicating Taylor's distinct Christian identity, brand, and educational offerings to internal and external audiences. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Marketing and plays a central role in crafting communications for both internal and external audiences across digital and print platforms.Responsibilities:Strategic Communications Coordinates and crafts the President's monthly email - Light and FaithWrites press releases and news stories for Taylor's websiteSupports Alumni and Parent Relations in creating content for the monthly In the Loop newsletterProvides strategic direction for the Taylor Magazine in collaboration with Jamie Atherton and the Alumni areaAssists with messaging and content for external and internal communications, including university announcements, publications, and official correspondencePlans the President's Office's holiday cards each year to strategic donors and friends of the UniversitySupports campus areas as assigned by the Executive Director of Marketing, including:Undergraduate EnrollmentGraduate EnrollmentTaylor University OnlineSocial Media content creationAdvancement PrioritiesStudent DevelopmentWorks hand-in-hand with Taylor's media consultant, Rob DeRockerAssists the Senior Leadership Team with crisis communications when neededServes as a liaison between Taylor and WBCLServes as a liaison between Taylor and local pressQualifications:Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field3+ years of communications/marketing experience. Familiarity with public relations, social media strategy, and higher education marketingStrategic thinker with proven project management and organizational skills Proficient with email systems and technologyKnowledge of Christian higher education context strongly desiredAbility to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadershipSkills and CompetenciesExceptional written and verbal communication skills, including writing and editingDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing prioritiesSalary & Benefits:$50,000 - 60,000/yearInsurance benefits: Health, dental, prescription medicationGenerous retirement plan with an employer contribution of 6%Tuition remission and continuing education opportunities available for Taylor employees & their dependentsHybrid role (3 days per week in-office at Taylor)#INDR
