We do this through strategic and complementary areas of focus: Asset Optimization and Commercialization, Value, Access and Outcomes, Medical Strategy and Communications, and Real-World Evidence.Responsibilities / Position overviewThe VP, Scientific Services provides strategic oversight of high-impact publications/scientific communications accounts, and supervises a team of scientific directors and medical writers. This role serves as a strategic partner to clients and actively contributes to business development and organic growth of accounts.Key Responsibilities;Oversee high-impact publications/scientific communications accounts for medical affairs clientsDirect strategy and approach to communication activities, including but not limited to strategic publication planning/execution, evidence/landscape analyses, and scientific narrative developmentPlay an active role in mentoring staff, building competency of scientific strategy among the team to support the businessAdd value to assigned client accounts as Senior Scientific Strategy LeadLead strategically-focused client interactions and moderation of workshops/meetingsCollaborate with internal teams to develop creative solutions to client challenges; foster opportunities for expanded client interaction and engagementLead scientific component of proposals and pitch presentations by providing strategic insight and therapeutic background information and guidance to the project teamCreate opportunities for new business through professional contacts, quality work, and positive relationships with clientsCollaborate with internal teams to develop creative solutions to client challenges; fosters opportunities for expanded client interaction and engagementParticipates in department leadership activities and management duties, including but not limited to, developing guidelines, revising department policies and proceduresQualificationsRequired Skills:Flexible, deadline oriented, and ability to work as part of a multifunctional teamExcellent communication skillsExcellent working knowledge of good publication practices and industry guidelines (CMPP preferred)Ability to quickly and amicably respond to changing client needs and conditionsAbility to evaluate, interpret and analyze both written and verbal communicationsMaintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters cooperation and teamworkUnderstand and comply with policies and procedures as outlined in the Lumanity Corporate Policies and Procedures manualEducation and Experience:PhD, PharmD, or MD requiredMinimum 8+ years medical communications experience in an agency settingOncology expertise preferredBenefitsWe offer our employees a comprehensive benefits package that focuses on what matters to you - health and well-being, personal finances, professional development, and a healthy work/life balance:Competitive salary plus bonus schemeMedical, dental, and vision insurance options401(k) plan with employer matchFlexible PTOFlexible spending accounts for health and dependent careHealth savings account option with employer contributionEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid short-term and long-term disability coverage and much more----------------------------------------------------------------------------#LI-remote
