Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Job Summary
The main responsibilities of the CNC Programmer include developing, testing, and enhancing CNC machining programs for the production of precision components. This individual will collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure streamlined manufacturing processes, precise programming, and continuous process enhancements.
Main Duties
Generate and fine-tune CNC programs for milling operations
Program custom components and tooling for manufacturing purposes
Create machining methods and tooling strategies
Set up and assist CNC milling machines in the production process
Test, troubleshoot, and validate CNC programs on production equipment
Adjust programs based on engineering changes and product updates
Work with engineering and production teams to enhance machining efficiency
Maintain programming documentation and updates
Support process improvements to enhance cycle times and quality
Ensure all programs meet safety, quality, and customer specifications
Requirements
Essential
Preferably an Associate's Degree (Engineering or Manufacturing Technology)
At least 5 years of CNC Programming experience
Solid background in programming CNC milling machines
Proficient in CAD software and CNC programming
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
Experience with CATIA
Familiarity with Epicor ERP
Background in aerospace manufacturing
Experience with precision-machined components
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
