We like to credit our growing success with our ability to develop and provide opportunity for our team of employees so they can make advancements within our company.Shift Time:Monday - Friday, 4:00pm-2:00am LOCATION:10301 S Harlem Avenue, Chicago Ridge, IL 60415The ideal candidate will possess the following:Experience in transportation, consolidation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment . Strong leadership qualities. Desire to surround customer with excellence in service. High aptitude for technology. The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, but not required. Duties include, but are not limited to:Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers. Provide leadership and accountability to a team of switchers. Directing the flow of internal and external customer freight as it comes into the yard. Communicating and assigning trailer moves throughout the terminal. Oversee the placement and movement of tractor trailers within the lot while tracking and recovering inventory. Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/ OSHA standards. Ensure company operational model compliance. Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
