Nurse (RN or LPN) Senior Living Facility

New Horizons at Marlborough is an upscale, not-for-profit retirement community serving 450 seniors on a beautiful 40-acre suburban campus. We are seeking a full-time registered or licensed practical nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to join our team.Following are the responsibilities associated with this role.Administrative:Perform comprehensive pre-admission clinical assessments of all prospective residents to determine appropriateness for admission, ensuring alignment with New Horizon’s capabilities.Support resident retention efforts and coordinate transfers as appropriate.Coordinate and lead care conferences with residents and families, as needed.Encourage and support resident engagement in community activities.Contribute to marketing and outreach initiatives.Foster external relationships.Exercise sound clinical judgment and take appropriate actions, especially with regard to changes in resident status.Enforce compliance with all administrative and nursing policies and procedures.Complete necessary incident reports and notify families, physicians, and AGE, as appropriate.Monitor resident records to ensure accuracy and compliance with state regulations.Prepare and submit required reports to the associate director in a timely manner.Training and Development:Incorporate standards of nursing practice into care services.Attend and assist with the development and execution of in-service education programs.Participate in continuing education programs.Evaluate opportunities to enhance resident care standards, ensuring high-quality care while maintaining cost-effectiveness.Quality Improvement:Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of care provided to residents.Evaluate and review resident care plan practices.Monitor care delivery to ensure staff adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.Promote high-quality clinical practice through peer review, continuing education, and ongoing professional development.Participate in quality improvement projects.Focus on resident retention.Required Qualifications:RN/LPN degree from an accredited nursing programCurrent state registered/licensed practical nurse licenseMinimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with memory loss/Alzheimer's disease in a clinical hospital setting, skilled nursing facility, or home health care agencyAdditional job information:New Horizons prohibits smoking anywhere inside or outside of its properties at all times.There is a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drug use and alcohol abuse.Pre-employment physical exams are required, including drug testing for all new employees.The Commonwealth mandates CORI checks or criminal background checks for anyone who is employed in any assisted living community in Massachusetts.New Horizons is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employer, but English speaking ability is required.Language:English (Required)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)RN or LPN license in MA (Required)Benefits:401(k) with generous company matchCompany subsidized health insuranceDental insuranceFlexible spending accountWellness ProgramLife insurancePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insurance
