Role: Software Design (Senior Level)Location: Marlborough, MA-Day one onsiteDuration: FulltimeJob Description:Job Description: Client is looking for a skilled and motivated Aveva OSISOFT PI System Administrator to assist within the project space for OEM product builds. The candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring PI Servers, interfaces, and points; monitoring the system for performance and errors; troubleshooting problems; and providing training and support to users. Documentation will be a key deliverable of this role and strong written English, organization, and communication skills are required. Experience working with Industrial Control Systems is a plus.What you'll do• Install, configure, and maintain the Aveva OSISOFT PI System infrastructure, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces.• Implement and enforce governance for the PI System within the OEM product.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the PI System architecture.• Ensure system reliability and uptime by continuously monitoring system performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement, and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner.• Establish test plans to determine compliance with functional and design requirements.• Participate in the assembly, startup, integration, and testing of PI-based systems for customer projects.• Collaborate with automation engineers to troubleshoot and support processes consistent with industrial control systems.• Resolve technical questions and concerns through interaction with customers, vendors and internal personnel.Who you are• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM major• 10+ years' experience working with OSISOFT PI System.• Basic knowledge of industrial communications and networking (e.g. EtherNet/IP, Profibus, OPC)• Experience working in or providing support to an industrial environment• Experience with or desire to learn about industrial automation platforms and controlsPreferred Qualifications:• In-depth knowledge of Aveva OSISOFT PI System architecture, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces.• Knowledge with working in a VMWare environment• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
