This role is responsible for ensuring successful on-site delivery, product and system unpacking, setup, installation, debugging, configuration, calibration troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced test automation and test bed equipment while representing the company with the highest level of professionalism. Qualified candidates must have knowledge of wire termination, experience in soldering, ability to work independently, and willing and able to travel up to 90%. The travel is mostly local to Metro Detroit and for short stays. During the downtime, you will report to Plymouth Mi on your off travel days.Roles:Act as Liaison and company representative with customers.Overall installation leader, working alone, or with skilled trades to complete Mechanical and electrical installation in an on time every time fashionInstall and support mechanical and electrical installation and termination of field wiring and pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Verify against drawingPower up / troubleshoot equipmentFinal electrical quality inspection of equipmentInitial system checks in preparation for commissioning.Document discrepancies and feed back to engineeringTroubleshoot and repair products and systems to specifications following defined processes.Professional and timely completion of service progress reports, expense reports and other administrative responsibilities as required.Actively participate in developing one's own training plan and exhibits ownership in completing training towards realization of selected diplomas and competency.Provide feedback and improvement suggestions on troubleshooting guides and continuous improvement methods to increase operating equipment effectiveness (O.E.E.).Perform in-house repair, postproduction operation tests of new equipment as required.Perform manufacturing shop floor tasks as assigned by manager.Maintain a safe and clean work area in accordance with 5S standards.The ability to communicate with customers in a professional way and in the ability to independently describe, categorize, analyze and solve service requests and issues.Ability to present informal operator instruction on products and test systemsTimely follow up on items and the ability to drive issues to closure.Maintains assigned calibration equipment.Complete all applicable safety training.Qualifications/Skills:Associate's degree in engineering or equivalent trade schoolExperienced reading / interpreting USA ladder and European IEC book prints2+ years' experience with test automation equipment and test bed operationsLeadership/ coordinator experienceUnderstanding of electrical and mechanical processesKnowledge of complete test cell operation and its contents is a bonusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to cope with negative feedback from customers, exhibit patience and possess excellent listening skillsAble to read / understand control circuits. Power up / troubleshoot equipment.Must be willing to travel 90%+
